This trail is popular so it gets busy but it is worth it. Following along a meandering trail that offers beautiful lookouts.

See caves and a impressive cracks in the rock.

Then go to the Buffalo Cragg Lookout. A perfect place for a view of the escarpment. Look south to Mt. Nemo and Lake Ontario, or north to a cliff-lined valley loaded with trees.

The best time to visit is definitely in the fall when the leaves are turning colours. The views from the lookouts are beautiful and the hike feels more magical and rejuvenating.

Secret Spot:

To extend your hike, at the far end of the trail, take the path below the ridge to Crawford Lake. It’s interesting to see above and below the ridge. It’s a nice way to get away from some of the crowds.

This park is the ski hill Glen Eden in the winter but through the rest of the year it’s a fantastic place to hike, mountain bike, and spend the day.

There is great hiking above the ridge and through the forest but the park also has fun facilities for families like a beach and picnic spots. The heritage village is a reminder of this regions history

Secret Spot:

There is a parking lot at the Kelso Summit. This allows you to avoid climbing the ski hill and start directly in the forest above.
